The consistent size of the bead is engineered to allow water to flow through in a controlled manner to the water table. The EPS bead has been designed and engineered to assist in the act of a low level filtration medium which will attract away heavy metals, de-icing agents, hydrocarbons, and nutrients from entering into a water course.
